As a teenager growing up in Miami, Florida, I got my hands on Shoichi Aoki’s FRUiTS book, which showcased his Japanese street style photos. This made me realize publishing’s potential to expose readers to cultures and worlds they didn’t previously know existed.

I went on to receive a BFA in Cinema Studies from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, followed by a master’s degree in Visual Arts Administration (also from NYU).

In 2008 I began working in-house for Prestel Publishing. I went freelance in 2015 and continue to collaborate closely with Prestel. After a 10-year stint living in London, I’m once again based in NYC.

Besides working on books I’m also a writer, primarily covering dance music, art, and design. I’ve contributed to media outlets including The Red Bull Music Academy Daily, Resident Advisor, VICE, Artsy, Crack Magazine, XLR8R, Indiewire, and Filmmaker Magazine.
